67-72 A/C control panel Question

I'm going to instal the Vintage air SureFit kit. I have a non factory air cab. The confusion I have is about the control panel, Do I need the factory A/C panel or the non factory A/C panel? I'm guessing the non version was for trucks with heat only. I know the kit only uses the 3 sliders so either would work, but in the photo the mounting screw holes look to be in different places on the two.

Any wisdom on this? When I bought my truck it didn't have either one of the controllers.

Re: 67-72 A/C control panel Question

hey there brother,
I too am putting the vintage system in my nonA/C cab. I plan on leaving the 3 lever control. the 3 lever controller has 2 ears on the bottom that house 2 screws through the under part of the dash. I haven't put it in obviously but I believe the last hole on the right closer to where the cig lighter is supposed to be is one of the holes the controller mounts, the other hole is out of the picture to the left. I can only vouch for the 3 lever controller. Original A/C cab guys can give info on the factory A/C controller

I know some more guys will chime in who can help way better than I can.

Re: 67-72 A/C control panel Question

Unfortunately I bought my truck with no controller at all in it. It's definitely a non A/C cab though.

Re: 67-72 A/C control panel Question

Don't be sorry, all the help I can get is great.
I'm pretty sure that both versions fit in the dash cut out the same. And I know they will both work with the Vintage Air kit. I was just curious because the photos of both controls seem to have the mounting screws in different alignments.
But, as your photo points out, the mounting screws would be out of sight anyway. So I really wouldn't mind drilling a few new holes if necessary.
