How bout you guys in Kali. Have any of you had to move your trucks to higher ground due to all the rain you've been getting lately? Flooding and mudslides? I feel for you. It couldn't be at a much worse time either.

well we are havin bad weather to what we usually have but its nothing compared to what you have

Yeah...i would say the media has exagerated it a bit....it is bad for here....but that is becasue we are not prepared for regular/heavy rainfall.....did have to sandbag my driveway to keep flow of water away from my garage though..

Truck is parked on high ground. The last five days have been bad, but not as bad as the media said it is or going to be. I even drove my truck the last three days, which was no fun; it was really hard to get traction and had to drive like an old lady. The sun came out today and should remain out until Friday and then back to rain. I feel for you guys that get snow, I much rather have rain.

It hasn't been too bad. A few creeks around here flooded and there were sections of roads that were closed off but nothing to serious, but I did here there were some mud slides (not near me)

so far not too bad here. the creek down the street was about 1/2 full and the gutters were full off and on but overall nothing like the news media made it out to be. down south got it worse than we did i guess.

We didn't get hit very hard up north. A little snow, quite a bit of rain... Nothing much really, but we have had several nasty rockslides and some still coming down. TV showed down south getting the worst of it.

Here in San Diego we got more on the last couple of days than we are used to all year.

I actually had to turn my wipers on the entire trip to work!

It gave my Wife a work out.

She was a good sport about it, bailing water into the kiddie pool where the pump pushed it to the driveway. We are doing better this evening and are looking forward to some sunshine tomorrow.

The media focuses on the few places where the rain causes some real damage in such a way that it seems ALL of Southern California is in the same shape. Yeah, we're getting a LOT of rain for us, but not all that much for most any other place in the country. We're only so prepared for it because most of SoCal is naturally a desert. Plus, there are a few places that pretty much always have a problem every time there's heavy rainfall, but they never get worked on during the dry seasons to eliminate the problem for the next time!

We're fine here. Not flooding in my area, but my truck isn't here at the house anyway, so its not an issue either way. But its definitely raining like hell, good luck to everybody in the bad areas.

Oh it's not so bad, at least here up in the hills:

Most of the valleys are under hundreds of feet of water though, it's a shame though I know there was a bunch of guys loading up our nice Cali 67-72 trucks to send to all you guys who don't have any rust free ones. They're all lost now.

Pitty, I guess you guys should stop wasting time on California craigslist, nope none left, the rain got them all.

I just watched the news and I don't see any exaggeration. They don't say everyone in the whole state are flooded out,but there are some areas severely affected by a great amount of rain that folks in all parts of the country rarely,if even,see. They did say it's mostly to the south. The film doesn't lie. Like most flooding,it affects some areas,usually low-lying,more than others.
I'm glad you guys were not affected like those who where either flooded or affected by mudslides.

I saw some aerial images of qualcomm stadium(which is three miles from my house) that was filmed yesterday and the parking lot and the field were completely under water.

I was out in the rain yesterday. Christmas shopping. seemed like when I was about to walk to my truck it would just pour (every time) lol, plus, I'm glad it doesn't rain like this very often here in cali because people just can't drive in the rain! (no one slows down until they slide) . My trucks are all inside nice and dry! cheers, Pat

8 inches of rain here over the past 2 days. I am not flooded out but there are several freeways closed due to flooding, as well as roads being blocked/sandbagged. My truck is in the garage, nice and dry.

Doing good here where I live few miles South of Zepp.

Just a lot of swollen washes and creeks, and a couple flooded out roads that are closed.

Burb is in the garage nice and dry.

Funny Pat, My experience is just the opposite. Everyone slows to a crawl as though the water is going to jump up and bite them

But, well...it DID bite me in a way:

I'm commuting from Pasadena to the Westside working on the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening project (in an office thankfully). Yesterday coming home there was water over the curbs from one side to the other at one point in the Arlington area and I hit SOMETHING(??) with the right rear wheel on my company truck (Plain azz F-350 std cab). Hell of a bang but the truck continued to run fine and I couldn't stop to look in the pouring rain.

When I got home the right rear rim is FLAT on one side (How can that be and its holding air just fine?). What could I have hit underwater with only one rim and not the front one? Must have been steel or concrete, but it wasn't visible. I was doing may 20mph tops to avoid drenching the cars along side the road. If this had been my new (well, new to me, it's an '08) Dually I'd be having kittens. But company trucks are AMAZING vehicles!

Just drove hwy 299 from Burnt Ranch to Sacramento and only saw a few accidents. About 13 miles west of weaverville there was a HUGE rock slide closing the hwy a few days prior.
Boulders the size of cars. Amazing!!!

I normally like the rain, but this is really putting a damper on my build. I was planning on doing my build in the CA sun in my back yard. Figures that we would have record rain right when I'm right in the middle of my build.
