Greetings to everyone!
Just wanna say that I've been going to this site for over a month. There's too much great info on here! Down below should be a pic of my '71 K10 stepside. Did a frame up resto over the course of a few years. Bought it in 1993, and the day I went to pull it in the garage to restore it, the engine gave up! Everything on here was either new or, I used the best pieces I could find to make this truck alive again.
The basic rundown: Original 1971 350 c.i. bored 30 over, Edelbrock intake, Rochester Q-Jet, K&N Filter, Competition 260H cam, roller rockers and lifters. Nothing TOO crazy, just right for me. Turbo 350 rebuilt (has the smooth 'like butter' shifts) NP205 rebuilt Rebuilt 12 bolt w/ 3.08 Auburn unit Rebuilt Dana 44 front w/3.07 & Warn hubs 31x10.5x15 BFG Long Trails on 15x8 Eagle Rims Paint is Flame Red Lucked out BIG time. These are the original rear steps and fenders. Just needed minor work. Does anyone else own or have pics of a '71 4x4 Stepside? All I've seen are older ones. A chevy #'s book I got says that only 1438 of the 1971 4x4 short stepside were made. Anyone know if this is right? Also, I've got a BUNCH of parts I've collected over the years, and it's time for them to go. Don't have any pics to show you, but I'm getting a digital camera maybe next week. I have some things, but not everything. E-mail me with what you are looking for. Some parts are new in the box. Be patient with me if I don't get back to you soon, I'll try my best. Thanx everyone, and keep truckin'!

Welcome from NH! That's a very nice truck you have there. I know what you mean about the steps and fenders. My old 71 (used to be the project truck before I got my 72) had an older 60-66 style bed on it. I was dreading tracking down a set of correct fenders and paying out the @$$ for them, but then found a great deal for a 72 that I couldn't pass up. $3000 for what you see below. It also has original fenders and steps with a little work done to them.

More pics
Feels good to be connected to fellow Chevy truck owners. Thanx for the welcome. I have to scan and send some more older pics I got. Hoping to get a digital camera next week.
What's the deal with people buying parts on this board from other members? ANY info on who to use for shipping (UPS, Fed- ex), dealing with money orders, etc, etc, let me know what goes on for the transaction. I'm not looking to give people the runaround, just want to handle things correctly. Give me time before you can see pics of parts. I got a LONG (4 written pages) list of parts that I'll probably list tomorrow, but just going to write a few now. Go to my profile and e-mail me if you see something you'd like, or if you need any items you need but aren't listed, e-mail me, but be patient for pics. I have no tach dashes, tilt columns, fenders, doors, tailgates, or cabs. A small taste: Instrument cluster out of a 1967-1972 C-50 with Vacuum gauge, but no tach. Complete, but faded, and no cracks in plastic. Modine Heavy Duty radiator new in box part #2527 with tranny cooler. Looks like a 4 core. GM style, has curved lower outlet on pass. side and top outlet on drivers. Sunvisors: 1 blue (sort of metallic in color) set, and 2 green sets. Very good condition. Not sure what I'm gonna charge for prices yet. I'm selling these parts 'cause I need the space. Gotta get some shipping cost info tomorrow. Thanks.

i agree with mudder! gotta love those red short steps! welcome from indiana!
as for parts --- most ppl list the parts they are selling on the 67-72 Parts Board (see link at top of page). here, you can get an idea of how ppl go about listing the parts, the prices they charge for them, and the shipping charges. hope this helps! welcome to the best board ever! (for 67-72 trucks) jewels.
