Buick Nailhead in a 68

I have a complete 425 Buick Nailhead with rare switchpitch turbo 400.
I bought it years ago for a ratrodded project that never I sold.
Had the combo for sale to fund my 68 long box.
But cleaning the motor up this week has me Jonesing to put it in my truck.

Will get kicked off the site if I do?

I'm all for it. I love that motor. I have a 327 built for my '67 GMC project but haven't ruled out sticking the 389 in to get that era V8 swap thing goin' on

Re: Buick Nailhead in a 68

I once owned a 66 Riviera with one of those. Replaced the head gaskets after I bought it and took it to the track. 14.0 through the lights on the first run with two people and a tool box in the trunk and a full tank of gas. Nice car but it wasn't me. Sold it right there at the track and got a ride home.
Should pull pretty good in one of these trucks. I say go for it. You don't run across those every day.

One of my best friends dads has one in a '53. It's a pretty cool motor.

Re: Buick Nailhead in a 68

I'm showing my age here, but back in the dark ages, a favorite hot rodder trick was to transplant a nailhead Buick into a 57 Chevy.
