unknown truck manifold port

I have started a L96/4l80e swap into my '70 c10. I am having issues determining what the port is for on the passenger side of the truck intake manifold. I'm on a work trip so I can't take anymore pics than what I have below. I'm hoping to find out where it should go/connect to before o get back in case I need to order more parts.

I have used this site a lot to get to where I'm currently at and wanted to thank you ahead of time. I have been unable to find this info for the last week of searching.

Re: unknown truck manifold port

I was unable to circle the actual area I'm asking about but its the vent/vacuum/whatever in the black plastic molding (intake manifold).

Re: unknown truck manifold port

On my truck that port was blocked off from the factory. I broke the tang off so I could use it as an access port to run sea foam through the intake every so often and I just use a rubber plug to block it off the rest of the time.

Block it off and you will be just fine.

Re: unknown truck manifold port

As they mentioned, its an a vac port that is 90% unused. Most of the time it'll have a black or red cap in/on it. You can plug it if it doesn't. Some folks "shave" and plug it, but if you use an engine cover you'll never see it anyway.

Re: unknown truck manifold port

Thanks!

I'm also able to block-off/cap the line for the vapor canister as well? I have the speartech harness so the emissions should be taken care of in the ecm.

Re: unknown truck manifold port

You can plug the hole, or just leave it sitting there. The unit is normall OFF, so if its not wired up, it plugs its own hole. You only need a physical plug if you remove the whole EVAP from the intake manifold.
