Smile 4wd at last...

I finally got a front driveshaft that will work on the '71 K10..The one I had laying around was too short (Was from a Rockwell equipped truck) so that wouldn't work..There was a few for sale for $30-$50 but that didn't include shipping plus shipping would be a little bit more due to the wait..Finally a nice guy named John from New Jersey parted a certain '72 K20 (It just happened to have them big curl tow hooks on the front BTW) and he sold me the front driveshaft from it for $50 shipped...So I got it today, cleaned it up,a little grease and it's on..I still need to clean it up a little more and paint it but it'll do for now.I just wish the truck was currently moving but it's still half apart while I finish rust repair on the cab..

Re: 4wd at last...

Front shafts are always nice to have. Very handy. One of my pet peeves is to see a lifted truck that the fella thinks is real cool running down the street but,....no front driveshaft.
