Re: She's a ton of fun (dually build on air)

As for my plans... It may take a little while but I am picking up a c20 frame in a few days and I will hopefully be using all porterbuilt products on the chassis. And I hope to find a blue bed and step side fenders to match the cab! I'm not sure on what trans I will be running right now I'm back and forth on a 700r4 or a nv3500 or 4500. But I do plan to leave the 292! Here is a drawing I made up to give myself some inspiration!

Cool truck! How come you're not using the stock frame?

Just noticed it's a longhorn.. Guessing you're hoping to replace the box with a standard 8 footer on a standard 127" wheelbase frame?

Re: She's a ton of fun (dually build on air)

I'm not usually a big fan of longbeds however I have a soft spot for the 1968 and I really like the concept of this one because of your idea of adding the stepside fenders to the fleetside and shortening it up to an 8 foot bed, I will be watching this one.

That was my plan at first but the frame is made different and I can't buy the chassis components I want with the 133" frame.

Re: She's a ton of fun (dually build on air)

Whats really awesome is you can buy some outstanding 8 foot beds where the metal looks like the day they rolled off the production line and cheap too because people dont want them.

I hope you're right! lol I am looking for one to match the blue cab. I think the step side fenders will be harder to find.
