help help help.. track bar

i have a 70 c10 short stepside i am bagging.. i want to know what kind of track bar do i need were can i get one. thats the last thing i need to finish my frame

A double adjustable, I would say. How much of a drop would you be going, POL, CPP and others have them but depends on your drop too, some relocate the mount onto the trailing arm mount and some are just replacements. Check out the vendors forum above.

We make a pretty nice one, that also includes a new mounting bracket for the driver side frame rail. It sells for $149.

ok thanx.. everything is stock i only but a c notch on it, i know it wont be that low, but thanx i think thats the one im getting, easy 2 install?

You will have to unbolt your trailing arms to install the shim on the driver side and the mounting bracket on the passenger side. You will have to remove some rivets that hold the original mounting bracket on the driver side frame rail to remove it. You will a couple of the holes that held the original trac bar bracket to locate the new one, and drill a few more. Not overly difficult, if the rivets and u-bolts cooperate.

ok porterbuilt, one last question before i buy this.. on the ends of the bar, how are the round pieces that hold bolt go in.. r they screwd in or do they slide in.. i dnt see any thread on the 2 pieces.. never upgraded one before sorry for asking?

They are screwed into the end of the bar, this allows them to be adjustable.

Like clyde mentioned, the rod ends are both threaded (one right hand and one left hand) this allows the bar length to be adjusted without unbolting it.
