Seeing as my truck is soon to be on the road

, Ive been thinking about insurance.
Do I need to get it appraised by a someone who knows what theyre looking at? Are there any specific companies I should look into? Im not 25 yet, so I may not get it too cheap, but what kind of cost am I looking at? No wrecks on record or anything.

Hagerty car insurance will give you a awsome price as long as
You are 23 or older
It is your secondary vehicle
You have to have proof of insurance and registration of primary vehicle
And you must get it apraised.
Hagerty specializes in car collectors
My friend has his parents 85 monte carlo SS insured for $15,000 and he is the one who dirves it. Insured under parents name.
My insurance guy was going to try and get it for me but I am 17. He said it would be less than PLPD. I have COMP for 6months at $479.

You do not always need to get it apraised only if you and they disagree on the value.

I have 3 collector cars insured through American Family Insurance. I had to declare a value, supply a photo, and get an appraisal that would meet or exceed the declared value. For the appraisal, I have a friend that runs a body shop and he wrote one up for me. Be sure and ask any appraiser what the charge will be as they can vary quite a bit....

I have both Chevelles and the truck with American Family. Only they used THEIR guy to do the appraisal. The truck has a stated value of $4500 if memory serves and costs about $360/year to insure with full coverage (up to the $4500 stated value).

my buddy had his 70 something superbee done with hagerty, up to $35,000 coverage for 300'ish per year...
