307 to 454 swap

hello i need some help i have a 70 chevy half to that had a 307 i bought a 454 everthing mounts up but when i put the headers on they hit the motor mounts and i lack about a inch the motor is a 73 block but it was in a 83 half ton what can i do or do i have to change the mounts thanks shannon

I am guessing you used your old Small block engine perches??? That may be your problem. If you used big block mounts then I am not sure.

I had the same problem, you have to buy an after market pair or a set of 72 BBC stands. They may cost a lot but it will save you the time of pulling it in and out!
