Roll Pan Guys, Got a Tape Measure?

I'm doing some tailgate fabbing at the moment, and my roll pan has not arrived yet. A slight inconvenience, so my question is, can someone measure how tall a standard purchased roll pan is, top edge to bottom? That will give me an idea as to how long to make my gate, etc.

Thanks!

Hmmmm. With a 1" variance like that, I'll wait til mine gets here. It could be 6", or even 9", who knows nowadays? Thanks guys!

Where did you order it from? I bought mine from MAr-K and it is 8.5 inches I believe. I checked before I got to work. I will double check when I get home in a couple of hours.

Mine is coming from Scott's Super Trucks in Penhold, Alberta and I'm unsure of the make. Oh well, it should arrive pretty fast.

Re: Roll Pan Guys, Got a Tape Measure?

Mine's a fleetside, so it's looking like fleetsides are 8 and stepsides are 7. muddpile didn't say which he had.

Re: Roll Pan Guys, Got a Tape Measure?

Haha, thanks guys, I'll mock it up and tack in for 8". If it happens to be 7" or something crazy, I can always change it, it's only sheetmetal and 1" of material. I'm actually doing a full skin on the back of the Tornado, so no more view of the mufflers and back of the big block when following it down the highway.

The new reproduction bed corners are in (fit great) as is the inner tailgate and top edge. The back tailgate skin and roll pan are all that are left to be welded in, ground smooth and bodyworked. The exhaust, tailgate, and tail lights are all kind of wild, surprise ideas.

Thanks and I'll be sure to post pics!
