Adding FI-Fuel tank. Transfer from stock tank??

Here's what I'm considering. Install a fuel tank for fuel-injection between the rear frame rails. Rather than using the conventional filling method, I'd like to utilize my cab tank and a fuel pump/vent line to fill the tank. I assume I can do this if I connect the sending unit to the FI tank then when it is low, transfer fuel from the cab tank manually by running the pump.

Has anyone done this? Are there any good reasons to avoid this?

I'm using both tanks as a method for storing E85 since it's not available everywhere I need to travel. I've got a small Holley pump as a transfer, and used a bulkhead fitting with a dip tube in the rear mounted cell. I do have one issue to fix; the pump on the "off" position doesn't prevent the siphon. I have just been reaching behind the seat and cracking open the fuel line momentarily. For the fix I'm thinking a nitrous fuel solenoid plumbed will do the trick.
