Turn Signal terrors
I have replaced all my wiring and my turn signal switch, but I have a problem I can’t figure out.
When I press my brake, my left turn signal lights up. So I put a second turn signal switch in and I’ve got the same problem. Plus, when I turn my right blinker on, both blinkers come on like hazard lights. When I turn my left blinker on, only the left dash light blinks, but both rear tail lights blink like hazards. So I’ve read through the forum and based on advise in other threads, I have checked my rear tail light housings to ground. I show continuity between both housings and the frame of the truck. What now? Any ideas out there? |

Re: Turn Signal terrors
First, check the bulbs and sockets. It sounds like you may have single contact bulbs in dual contact sockets.
This picture will show single and dual contacts (not for our trucks) |

Thats something I hadn’t thought of. I remember from troubleshooting that I have dual sockets and bulbs. I have a feeling my problem is in this area somewhere though.

Re: Turn Signal terrors
I'm having a similar issue, I'm curious to see what you come up with.
My left blinker only works with the brakes on, hazards always work, and right blinker is hit or miss! This will be my next endeavor after I finish installing a new motor...
