Body side moulding on a Stepside?

I was at the Pull a part the other day(I love that place). I pulled some old trim off a Cheyenne and bent it slowly over my knee and held it up to a stepside fender and I got the curve pretty close just using my knee. Has anyone put body side moulding on a stepper. I have seen a picture of a dually with it done and I thought it looked good. I am pretty sure if I can get it close with my knee it could be done with the proper gig and tools. The curve is not so drastic as to didtort the metal. What ya think?

Re: Body side moulding on a Stepside?

Using the upper and/or lower side trim on any cab is not a biggee. GM didn't offer the trim on stepside fenders. If you like it, it's your truck to treat as you wish. However, you asked for opinions and I gotta tell you that it just ain't my bag.

If you like it, do it. Just remember that it isn't factory and there was a good reason....it just didn't/won't look "right".

Re: Body side moulding on a Stepside?

It seems like to me someone is selling the lower trim already for stepsides. I have seen it on a couple. It may be LMC that has it. Check em out.
One local truck had it was a red step. While I like the trim on a fleet and a step could use something, that trim on a stepside has to grow on ya.
