69 396 Oil Filter Question
Hello All,
I went to change the oil in my newly acquired truck, 1969 GMC 396 and then I noticed it had a large canister style filter on it. I then went to NAPA Auto and told them that I need a filter for this truck. They looked it up and said it should have a spin on filter, no canister style after 1967???? They told me someone must have changed out the motor, but this truck only has 36K original miles and I know it is also the original motor. Anyone have any additional info on this?
