yea you can. just got to get the bell housing adapter. you can actually put any transmission behind them. my cousin runs a 4 speed bulldog behind his 6.0 in his mud buggy. it is a beast.

I saw that tranny swap being done on one of the builds, but I can't find it right now. Check the FAQ's, there is also some details about using those transmissions with GEN III engines.

Re: 5.3 vortec

All you need is to redrill your flexplate using and old 350 flexplate to guide you on the 3 torque converter holes, then get a crank spacer from me or from some where like advanced adapters, and your rolling. Now if you want to still run a VSS for the computer, you will have to spend a little money to get a conversion for that. I never ran the VSS on my jeeps, and never had any issues. I have done 6 of these conversions, either for myself or for other people, and I'm about to put a 400 behind my 6.0 in my '69 CST. If you have any more ?'s feel free to ask or PM me. Good luck, Clay

Re: 5.3 vortec

WHat year engine? That will answer the fuel regulator question. Does your fuel rail have 1 or 2 lines coming from it?

You can keep the stock key/ignition switch as either stand alone or incorporate it into the LS harness.

Have you clicked on the link in my signature LS ENGINE SWAP INFORAMTION ? Lots of information there. I the first post there are 2 FAQ thread that will answer lots of your questions.
