Will they fit?
I have a 68 swb c-10. I have an oppurtunity to get a nice set of rims for pretty cheap my problem is will they fit. They are all 15x8 on 6X5.5 lug pattern with 19mm of backspacing. Any help is appreicated.

you need 4 1/2 inches of back spacing to retain the stock appearance...lol...i have no idea how much 19mm is

That 19mm figure isn't the backspacing. More than likely, it's a number to designate the offset of the wheel. If it is a +19mm, it means the center of the rim is set 19mm out (from the center towards the front lip). If it is negative, then the center is set back 19mm. What all this means is this: more than likely, the number is negative, since it is a rear wheel drive wheel. 19mm translates to about 3/4". So those wheels would have 3.25" of backspacing. Yes, they will fit. They will simply set out about 1.25" from stock. Depending on what size tires you plan to run, it wouldn't look that bad at all. Hope this clears things up for you.

So will these will be tucked in an inch futher that stock? 19 mm is 3/4 of an inch (had to look it up lol)

You might want to mount them before purchase to be sure that the hub holes are large enough.
If I were you I would get a set of ralleys from an early 4x4 from 1972 thru 1987. They are available at swap meets and usually pretty cheap (in my mind) Try to hold out or pay extra for a good clean set with the caps lugs and rings. Be careful These wheels do bend very easily. I have seen super nice take off complete sets go for $200. The newer wheels with the strange offsets will get about the same with tires. There was also some brushed aluminum wheels that GM made. I am not sure what they were called but they were made around 84 or 85 and came in 15x8 they had circles all around the rim. My understanding is that one year they had a brushed finish and the other year they had a finish that you could polish up to look like chrome. Have fun

Go to a popular tire store (Les Schwab is big around here, so is the Pefection Tire chain), and ask to look in their bone yard. I had to strip and repaint them (a grand total of about $25), but they looked good when I got done.
