Re: Buddy Buckets for Sale

I have seen these seats go for more but $500.00 is about the going rate. But they are only worth what someone will pay.

yep, that's about the going rate. People find them cheaper, but they also sell for more sometimes....especially if the foam is nice!

It's rare you find them cheaper. And if you do the foam is usually in real bad shape.

Re: Buddy Buckets for Sale

You need to replace the foam regardless of the condition. It is 40 yrs old and deteriorating. If you put new covers over old foam, they will not fit snug and it will show, as well as be uncomfortable when driving. New foam and these seats are very very comfortable. I have a set being reupholstered right now, and the original foam had no tears or visible wear. But after sitting in them as well as sitting in another set I had with very worn foam, they felt the same. I then sat in a set that boardmember Into69z had with high density foam replacement, and the difference was incredible...night and day. Needless to say, I am having the foam replaced on mine as well as the covers.

a good upholstery shop can handle a complete restoration using new high density foam, at least my local one can. it has a firm flexible feel to it, very supportive. if you wish to buy your own foam prefabricated, there is usa and foreign made. i believe the usa made is high density...not sure on the foreign made. board vendor Pickmup sells both kinds at the best prices.

Re: Buddy Buckets for Sale

the gentleman from classic bow tie is correct. I purchased these seats from him about a year ago and I powder coated the frame and box in gloss black but decided to go in another direction with my interior. In fact they are still in the box they came in and have only been out of the box once for inspection.

Re: Buddy Buckets for Sale

the price is reasonable and they could go higher. They may not be the most comfortable but they have a factor to them. For those who want to keep the orignal look these are the cats meow.

Nope, all of the 67-8 bucket seats pictured above are long gone. If you were looking for some and or parts I currently have two truck buddy seats pulled and also one of the more scarce burb only setups which is pulled too. We also just hauled in a 67 CST 1/2 ton 327/TH400 truck last thursday that has factory buckets (still in truck) that were recovered in an Orchid/Hawaiian type print material , fabric reminds me of the aftermarket type covers you would see in a honda today. Re: Buddy Buckets for Sale

man i really got a deal then. i paid $200 for mine. i think they may have been re-upholstered, to me they are fairly comfy, and the only imperfection in the seat covers is a tear at the rolled seam at the bottom of the center cushon

Exactly! They look super cool but not super comfortable. When I picked up mine off Ebay they were in the same condition as those in the add. I paid $550

I bought this set already done for $600. The Guy wanted $1000 but gave me a deal. As for comfort I like them.
