MSD to stock Hei?

One of my buddys gave me an MSD 6A box that he replaced with a 6AL in his 69 Camaro. I have a stock HEI coil in cap system in my truck. Is it possible to connect the box to my ignition without a special wire harness from msd? and how would i hook it up?

Re: MSD to stock Hei?

i had the same situation with my camaro. I got a free 6A box off of my brother in law's mustang and i didnt have the harness to plug it into the stock HEI so i had a guy i know come down and help me and he just took my stock module out of my HEI and called Jegs and asked what color the wires were on the harness and which one went to which prong inside the distributer and we just hard wired it into my distributer where the module used to plug in. Its been that way for a few years and still works great. Oh yeah there are some other wires for tach and a positive and negative.

What he said ^. Just remove the stock module, hook the trigger output to the 6A, then hook the 6A to the coil. MSD has detailed instructions and diagrams on their website.
