A/C heat fuse

Hey guys, when I plug the fuse in for the heat a/c the alternator light comes on. Would that be a short in the system or loss of ground?

Re: A/C heat fuse

Assuming the engine is running when this happens, your heater motor or AC system might be wired into the idiot light for the alternator. It would be much easier/simpler to trace the wire back from the alternator.
