Chrome grill 1975 blazer.

Looking at the SPID document it says that my '75 Blazer had a "Chrome Grill" from the factory. does anyone have a definitive picture of what exactly the factory chrome grill was please?

The chrome wasn't that signifigant and unless you really looked close at one today you'd proabably never know there was any chrome due to weathering.

This has a chrome grill. As stated, hard to tell difference at this age.

Aaah OK. Then thank you. Mine has a Chrome grille insert consisting solely of horizontal bars so it must be aftermarket. Oddly though there are no holes for the brackets that are necessary for the above grille insert on the truck so that part must have been changed out also, unless this grill (below) was available from factory ??

Re: Chrome grill 1975 blazer.

That is your standard tube grill from ebay.

This is what a 75/76 grille should look like for a GMC:

Yeah I WANT the above grille from willow run's post, in fact I even bought one from one of the members here but there my wife reversed over it so I'm out of luck. It would have been fitted but there were no holes for the brackets and I didn't have time to strip the front down to drill them.

Willows is a 1979-80 Chevy grille which requires 2 outer brackets and the center rad support as well.

GMC grills do not work with Chevy grilles and vice versa.. Just went through this myself.

Even the hood latch is different.

Even still you'll need all the brackets.

Yep it'll have to be a down the line bit of work I'm afraid. I'll stick with what I have right now.
