well i just signed the paper work today for the next 3 years i will be paying snap-on tools for my handy tools i got today i got 8k worth of tools for 3200 (62 student discount) 4100 with tax and the intercent i hope its worth it

Tools are worth there weight in gold and never a waste of money IMO and snap-on are some of the best also.

Just the other day I had a Snap On ratchet break. I chased down the Snap On man he fixed it & I was on my way in 5min. The best part is I bought that ratchet about 30 yrs ago. Gotta love Snap On. No questions asked just fixed it.

I inerited some snap on stuff from my grandfather years ago... my 1/2 in drive rachet is from 64, when i broke the gears in it, the snap on guy didn't even recognise it as one of there, but, after correcting it, he fixed it ASAP. You'll pay a pretty penny for them (and your discount is quite awsome) but they are some of the best tools you can buy.
Thing that sucks, I owe them more than you do.

i have an $8000 box that holds about 1/4 of my tools. the rest are on my service cart and on shelves.

I remember the days the snap on guy would come in and want his payment it was hard to get him payed off but well worth it. Iv had mine for over 20 years now.I don't know what id do without them.

I got sucked into the "SnapOn" tool thing 20+ yr's ago and i'll never buy anymore of them it's a major PITA to hunt one of them trucks down to return or get some thing fixed or exchanged.

At my current job he wont come over cuz not enough biz for him and all the new home land security at the Int'l. airport he cant get clearance to get on the inside of the airfield.

Over the years iv'e had them tell me that's not covered you used it wrong bla bla bla the warrante dosent state that! it says if it brakes it gets replaced free.

Iv'e also got some stuff that's discontinued and it's not covered so thats another problem can't get the parts to fix it.

Now days i go with craftsman if i need something i don't have yeah you have to drive to the store to return it but i know right where it's at and it never leaves that spot.

Any way Congrat's on the tools like someone said if ya dont lose them or lend them out youll have them for ever.

snap on has great tools but as stated finding a truck and actually getting serviced is two different things// i bought my first house for $4800

I hope you have better luck than I have with Snap On and their replacement policies. I have heard it is all up to your particular dealer ... if that's the case then I had a goober for a dealer.

He was more than happy to sell to you, would even set you up on payroll deduction ... but was all too quick to say NO when you had a replacement need.

Iv'e had to deal with several of thies types of dealer in the past 20yr's.

I "Snaped Off" the boxed end of a 5/16 combo wrench once using nothing but my arms and my dealer at that time told me you used a pipe and thats why it broke..........Okay even if i did you still have to replace it!
I asked him arn't thies considered Industerial strenght tools?......Yeah!
I aksed him isn't that what i paid for? a lifetime replacement!......Yeah!
I got a new wrench but i shouldn't have to strong arm for it i allready did that to the wrench

Any way the guy that services my area is cool he has allready replaced some of my Snap on $h!t and never batted an eye over it but i have to go to him where ever that may be.

Some guy's are Cool others are Dik's and will try to scam you by not replacing broken stuff.

Snap-on stuff is good, but I always get the Craftsman stuff. Just go to the store and pick out the new ones and go show them the old junk. Plus, the Sears stores are usually in a mall, so the wife goes and messes around while you dream in the Sears tool isle.

with Nacho. Snap-On tools are the best out there, my dad has some wrenches that are 30yrs old, and they are tighter fitting than a brand new Craftsmen wrench, not to mention more comfortable. But I always end up buying Craftsmen. Cheap and pretty decent quality. (except for the "Professional" long handled ratchets. I used mine once and stripped the gears out in it.)
