Griffin Radiator

Has anyone used a Griffin direct fit radiator for their squarebody and found it to be truly "direct fit?" Just wanting to verify before I drop $600 plus dollars. I tried to order one of Dewitts direct fit radiators for our trucks and it was too tall to fit in the stock brackets. I think there is an issue where companies have used a later model square body (mid 80's?) for their R&D and there are differences that make them incompatible with early models. Specifically in the upper mount. Seems the earlier models use a one piece top rail and later ones use two individual top mounts. I have the style below. In the pic is the Dewitt alongside the OE Harrison unit which would not fit due to the obvious height difference.
