rochester b leaking

I have a 1967 k20 with 250 i6. I recently rebuilt the carb and now it is leaking. I checked the float adjustment and that got it running. But its still leaking between the bowl and throttle body. I checked to make sure the needle is seating and it is. I am using the same fuel pump so too much pressure shouldn't be the problem. Please help a brother out.

Re: rochester b leaking

Is there a gasket between the carb body and the base plate? Is this where the leak is?

Yes. It appears to be leaking from where the bowl portion of the carb body meets the throttle portion of the carb. There is a gasket between them.

Re: rochester b leaking

Did you replace the gasket when you worked on the carb? Alot of rebuild kits come with multiple gaskets to cover different carbs. You have to look close to make sure they match the one you removed. Is it on up side down? Did you use the same screws in the same spot you removed them from? Could a longer screw be in the wrong spot and be bottomed out? Could a plug have come out on the carb base when you removed and cleaned it? Do you se any open passages on the bottom of the carb? Does it only leak when the fuel pump is pushing fuel to it or does it leak to empty with engine off?
