I have a 79 GMC 1/2 ton truck. My question is, where can I find the front spoiler that came on these square bodies, I suppose mainly the 73-80 since 81 on up is different frt end. It is a 3 piece spoiler not a 1 piece. It consists of 2 outer short pieces and one long center piece. Who makes these, or are they not available anymore?

if it s the thing i think it is, they arent reproduced. You should PM captkaos tho as he is the premeir vendor on aftermarket things for these trucks.
IM sure youve already checked the catalogue companies too LMC etc

Can you post pics? I assume your talking about the black plastic "air deflector", or "spoiler". I have not seen any that were three piece.

it's like a body kit type deal I think...fiberglass or urethane...something like that if that's what he's talking about...

Here is the picture, and no its not a body kit type of deal. Its a 3 piece valence.

It is an air deflector, no one reproduces it, but have you trying doing a dealer search for it?

You sure that is supposed to be three pieces and it isn't just broken... in three pieces?
I remember a while back either LMC or ClassicParts(ChevyDuty) had them for sale but they might have sold out of them by now. I don't remember seeing them in the new catalog but I wasn't looking for one either.

No my 79 SWB Custom Delete had that three piece air dam, it wasn't broken.
And this was the first time I had seen one of it's kind.
Don't ask me why it's made that way.

Humm mine on my 82 is one piece and ive seen them in lmc Here page 25 of our year cataloge

The pre 81 versions were 3 piece. The 81-87's (which are the only ones made) are 1 piece.
