Re: Does this look ok or stupid
Personally, since your engine is stock-looking, I'd have gone with a more stock-like finish on the tranny too

Re: Does this look ok or stupid
It is a bit flashy, but looks OK. I'm assuming you will paint the transfer case the same?

Re: Does this look ok or stupid
I agree it looks a bit flashy, but no one will really see it. WHat little they do from looking through the engine compartment may look good.
But that finish for being paint MIGHT look good on my nasty intake manifold. What did you use? |

Re: Does this look ok or stupid
Well i was going to go black with the tranfer case to break it up a little, and the engine i might dress it up a little also. Heck seams like everytime i walk into the shop i change my mind and redo it again

Re: Does this look ok or stupid
I am a fan of painting things and I think it looks good. I painted mine before I put it in there and I like the way it came out....

Re: Does this look ok or stupid
Mr Chevorlet.... to me it depends on the rest of the truck. If you are going to stick with stock styling, then I would consider repainting.
If you are going semi custom... leave it; it just draws your truck more attention.

Re: Does this look ok or stupid
It's too flashy right now, but after a few weeks of driving it will be dirty anyway, so who cares? No one will see it whether it's clean or dirty.

Re: Does this look ok or stupid
looks good to me, plus looking down on the motor once its in, it will be hidden and won't look all that shiny.
Here's mine after a power wash. It was totally nasty before that - the bellhousing is VHT paint the 'aluminum' look, if I remember correctly...
