Added a "like new" Longhorn to the fleet..I cant escape!

I just cant seem to "thin the heard" like I planed on doing. It is definitely a sickness!!! I sold the Longhorn-Dually-Mutt project back in December and was planning on using those funds to finish a few other projects. Low and behold a month later this falls in my lap and I just couldn't say no. It has obviously been garaged kept all of its life and well cared for. It has its original paint except a repair on the drivers bed side. It has (0) rust...not even in the lower kick area. !!! He included the original seat with original upholstery (needs some slight upholstery repair). All the lights and gauges work and are well lit. It has (4) T-3's and from the pitting I would say they are original! It has one saddle tank and switch but I have not tried it yet. The trim is all in above average condition with only minor flaws. The top lever on the AC/heat control is broken but I have a good replacement unit in inventory. I bought it sight unssen and I have to say I am VERY pleased.

1969 GMC Sierra "Longhorn"..NO RUST
92000 original miles
396/TB400
AC

One question....the "Custom" logo from the drivers door is in the glove box with one broken stud. it looks like it caught on someones jacket or something because a stud is missing and its bent. The three holes for it are visible on the drivers door. Is there supposed to be the same logo on the passenger door??There isnt one on it nor do I see holes.

WOW...looks to be a nice unmolested original truck. I would have done the same thing...LOL! Did the GMC's have the back side of the glove box door painted black?

Wow, Is it really 2010 or 1975? Outstanding preserved original find. I find the well kept clean originals to always be my favorites, regardless of model and options. IMO these are the keepers.

Agreed...I have never run to the GMC grille but I can overlook it in this condition!

I have no idea...this one is the red color and does not look to have been repainted.

I also found the build sheet under the original seat.....its in bad shape but I am going to piece it together later today.

Very nice. That Maximum traction rear axle is not common either. SUPER POSI. Feels weird when driving it.

I love GMC's.
