Need Help Understanding Shock Choices & Recommendations, Thanks

I am at the early stage of getting my project back to a rolling chassis and have bought almost everything needed to achieve this, minus my shocks.

I have been reading on here and trying to understand compressed and extended lengths. I understand what these mean, but am having a hard time calculating what lengths I will need with my build.

I have a 1970 C20 with coils in front and back. I bought HD coils for the front and back, the front HD coils should bring the front end up about 1.5"; I did this in an effort to level out the truck's front end. Ill be putting in a 383 and 700r4.

What compressed and extended shock lengths should I be looking into?

Am I overthinking this? I mean it is a 1970 C20 shock, I know it will ride rough, but dont want to buy an ill fitted product and be replacing them 20K miles down the road.

Thanks everyone.

I have Bilsteins on my C/20 with coils all the way around and love them.

Hey Joe:

Glad you saw this thread actually. Saw some of your original posts when you were in the purchasing process. Are you running the same model on all four corners? If so, which did you end up buying?

Thanks!

The rears did not have the steel sleeves in the rubber bushings so I took the ones off the old Rancho shocks that were on before.
I'm very happy with these.
