As long as you're not wearing a Jethro Tull t-shirt while you're driving it you should be okay.

Re: Air shocks, glasspacks, stickers in the rear window....

I like all those things. You had to be there. It was a better time. That`s why some get stuck there.I love finding trucks with all the old stuff on them:Thrush woodpecker, old dragstrips,gone-by performance companies...When I bought my`71 CustomCamper (`88) I put a Harley sticker in the back window.I split it in the middle for the slider. It was the extended bar & shield emblem AMF was using in the 71-75 era.Looked like it was always there. The truck had a rake, too. It looked like a truck that was set up to actually haul something down the road, yet on the prowl from the front.I was going exactly after the look of the era with bigger fatter tires on the rear and wide enough on the front.I kept the pipes behind the rear wheels.Out in front would have been more trendy in that era.I only had the Harley sticker.Definately used the aluminium slots, but radials.
Now,about the mullet.......wasn`t that an`80s thing?

Re: Air shocks, glasspacks, stickers in the rear window....

You know, i never really though too much about the time warp until recently. I started pondering my collection of "stuff".....a '72 long bed, the '68 short step, a '73 airstream argosy 20' camper, all that classic southern rock music, Miller High Life Beer...........,,,,,,,,,,OMG!........even my wife() was born in 1967.

I guess it could be worse.........!

Re: Air shocks, glasspacks, stickers in the rear window....

I have a the standard Edelbrock sticker on my rear window. I also have a SoCal speed shop decal and decal of our local high school mascot.

Jetro Tull was/is the name of a band with a rockin flute in it's music. here is an intersting fact about Jetro Tull's name:
Quote:
How did you get the name Jethro Tull?
Back in February, 1968, we had many different names which usually changed every week,
since we were so bad that we had to pretend to be some new band in order to get rebooked
in the clubs where we aspired to find fame and fortune. Our agent, who had studied
History at college, came up with the name Jethro Tull (an eighteenth century English
agricultural pioneer who invented the seed drill). That was the band name during the week
in which London's famous Marquee Club offered us the Thursday night residency. So it
stuck. Is it too late to change? I thought so.
