Will this work

I have access to a 76 4wd chassis. Will my 71 body and bed fit this chassis?

I tried this before, there is a difference in wheelbase. I can't remember which way it goes though.

assuming LWB, the 76 is a 131 inch wheel base verses the 127 on the 71.
You'll have to relocate the rear axle, since the frame isn't flat like the 71, you'll have to make a custom lift kit to lift the cab up to the bed
possibly fab up all the cab/core support mounts
It's doable, and has been done. Mudder has a square body frame under his red stepside.
