The Non-Repro Green Interior

Are there any pictures of the green interior (medium green?) that are complete? I have a 69 503 green pickup with the standard green and i plan on re amping the interior with its original color. I may use my 72 panels in there if any knows of SEM colors that match to the "T." Also was there any trucks made with this color option with the center console? as many pictures are welcomed lol it makes for a better thread! these are the few ive seen but would love more to get as many ideas as possible! i love upgraded stock options ie headliners, consoles, upgraded panels, etc.... even if it has a custom touch feel free to throw it out there!

May or maybe not what your asking.
Steer wheel and column is 503. Seat is custom as close to original color I could find.

Re: The Non-Repro Green Interior

I believe 72 panels will mean different window regulators too...

My truck was the dark green on the dash and wheel/column, the rest of the truck is med green.

That looks nice!

What's the color name of the dark green? Will the interior I described be called "Aqua?"

I don't want to hijack the thread, but my Dad's Canadian '68 910 had a mix of those two greens as well. I take it when you got the dark green they just used the 503 wheel, etc, and that's why?

Re: The Non-Repro Green Interior

The 69 612 green (dark) vinyl trim was not the same color as the 72's base 612 green vinyl trim. The seats were actually a two-tone. If you want to upgrade, in 69, CSTs and even buckets could be ordered in green.

Aqua was a different more blue-green dark turquoise color.

67-68 trucks had a lighter column color. 69 used a matching (more or less) color.

Re: The Non-Repro Green Interior

There was one basic green trim color in 69, the dark Green.
The various trim levels upgraded things from the base like you have but ia all boils down to pretty much the same shade. The biggest variation is the seat faces on the cloth Custom or the CST and Buckets are a lighter green (tone on tone).

That door panel is the correct color for a base green vinyl trim truck. It is painted metal close to the color of the vinyl used on a green trim Custom or CST. Here is a 69 C/20 Longhorn, 503 Light Green paint with 612 Green Vinyl Trim.

Re: The Non-Repro Green Interior

Here's my 69 interior it's a real strange dark green I don't think I've seen any other colors the interior is all aftermarket and it's almost the only color they offered some of its even to dark for my truck. And I threw in a 503 interior for fun but I have no idea who's truck it is.

Re: The Non-Repro Green Interior

sweet pics guys! thanks for the replies...

so the armrest (no matter the color?) were always darker? and the horn button with the dark green vinyl always looks faded was that on purpose (different color? supposed to be 503?) or is it just faded from years of use and sun?

MORE PICS! MORE PICS! MORE PICS!

The armrests, plastic bits and the dash pad all have a little color variation but most were close from the factory.
The horn buttons always tended to go light as they aged but again it should be about the color of the steering wheel which is about the same color as the column and so on. Overall things would probably be clearer about the 69's colors if lighter 68 pictures had not been posted. But your original post was really open about greens, of which there were several plus the later olives and the aqua.

Re: The Non-Repro Green Interior

@Swamp Rat thanks for answering that question for me i was still curious about that and thanks for the link as well

@SS Tim
I shouldve made my question initially more specific but i was unaware and ignorant to the fact that there was variations for certain years... i am more interested in the 69 green seeing that thats what i do have!

does anyone know of a SEM color that matches the dark vinyl green used for the 69-? trucks? i plan on buying new parts for the interior but of course all plastics and replacement parts i buy i will have to paint...

once more thanks to everyone who has commented in this thread and added helpful information for me and others in the future with the same concerns!

Re: The Non-Repro Green Interior

Bringing up an old thread to see about what paint I need. My medium green 72 GMC has the darker green seen on the dash pad in the picture posted above by sshuttlesworth24 on the dash pad, glove box, and instrument cluster bezel. Is my best bet to take my glove box in to a paint store or is the code known?

Re: The Non-Repro Green Interior

I would bet the code is known. I just had a couple rattlecans of 503 green mixed at Industrial Finishes off of McLoughlin Blvd a couple weeks ago.
They tried their paint match camera to get a match, but the condition of the paint inside the Burban didn't allow them to get a very good reading. So they gave me the option of using the poor match or mixing up some paint from the 67 503 code. I went with the 503 code mix.
I haven't had a chance to try it yet so I can't speak to how well it is going to match.
