Thumbs up MAR-K trim moulding review

I took a trip up to OKC to MAR-K for Labor Day week while they were having their sale and purchased my trim for my '68 from them. They are super nice people. Walked me out into the shop and had my trim on a table. A guy came over and opened it and we pulled out all the pieces and looked them over. Even showed me how to install the clips!

Everything is labeled good and the finish is awesome! My truck did not have any holes so installing is a little tedious but it's not bad. I have one side done now so the other side should go easy.

Highly recommend MAR-K!!!

Looks good, makes me reconsider the shaved trim idea.

Re: MAR-K trim moulding review

Their trim is as nice or nicer than NOS. I used it on my 68 and it was perfect in fit and finish.

It's a hard decision but I really want to get back to that old school classic look rather than the street truck look. To me they both look good so I had to let my wife make the decision and she likes shinny stuff go figure

Here is a picture with no trim and a roll pan. I cant get a good side pic now since its all taken apart in my garage but hopefully it helps.

I think it's better! I really like that it has all nuts to fasten the clips rather the push in style of some others.

Agreed!!! Mar-K is the only way to go on the trim. Look at the back of the latest catalog and there will be Slick67, my truck!

I agree, their trim is super nice. I have it and it's worth every penny. You have a beautiful truck, can't wait to see some more outside pics of it with all it's new goodies.

Re: MAR-K trim moulding review

I have NOS trim on my 70 C-10 all of it is NOS except the 2 fender spears. The spears are Mar-K and you can not tell them from GM. I would only use Mar-K if it is not NOS.

Re: MAR-K trim moulding review

I was about to order trim from LMC. After reading this, I think I'll pay the extra and get it from Mar-K.

Your truck looks great Holliday, all the upgrades you did took it to another level. Nice job.

Re: MAR-K trim moulding review

Holliday, I had to get my wife from the other room to check your truck out. Her reply was "wow, is that nice" After 35 years of marriage she never said that to me!!! Questions, what tire size?? Who sells the glass?? Your truck inspires me to get my 68 swb fleetside done.

Thanks for kind words. I'm currently putting a wood need in right now and it's a big project.

Wheels are 20" Eagle Alloy 225
Fronts 255/40/20
Rears 295/40/20

I got my back glass locally since it was cheaper then buying online (shipping was expensive ). The side glass and all the seals I got from classicparts.com

Re: MAR-K trim moulding review

Bringing up this old thread to ask a few questions. I just received an order of Mar-K 67-68 trim and while it's pretty and shiny there is a lot of small peppering of tiny spots on pieces of it and some has small nicks and other small abrasion defects. A few other small stamping deformations as well. Discussing it with them they say the peppering is normal and within spec. Is this what the rest of you experienced?

Re: MAR-K trim moulding review

I have a complete set of Mar-K '72 upper and lower woodgrain molding, and I can't say there was anything like that on the pieces I was sent, but I wasn't looking at the trim with a magnifying glass or anything like that. The quality of the trim I got was excellent, and looks fantastic, but I also did not build a show truck, either.
