Fender Emblems or NOT - Pics Please!

I am building a 69 4x4 short fleet and it will have no side trim. Originally it had the C-10 emblems. I liked them but always thought it a little weird cause as we all know they are really K-10's. I've thought about maybe putting Custom-10 emblems on it. OR.... maybe no emblems at all. The truck will be silver or charcoal(ish). I'd LOVE to see LOTS of pics of various looks. Thank you!

Heres what I ended up with since the truck was a C10 and I put 3/4 ton 4x4 running gear under it.

Re: Fender Emblems or NOT - Pics Please!

here is my 67 K10 no emblems then emblems on hood and fender. I wish I would have thought of filling the holes before paint but both ways look good.

I've got nice new ones but after reading what's involved in removing the fenders I think I'll wait....

Did you buy new aftermarket emblems, or find some NOS ones? If aftermarket how do they look compared to original as far as quality?

I got these from CPP. They look the goods, are fairly solid and weighty and seem well finished. See what you think.

Re: Fender Emblems or NOT - Pics Please!

The previous owner of my 68 used 67 fenders so I have no front marker lights and he did not put any emblems on... I prob would use the emblems but I have no idea what emblems they put on 2500 with a 6 banger.. I have only see the emblems with 2500 V-eight.

Re: Fender Emblems or NOT - Pics Please!

If in doubt fill the holes. You can always cut the pins off the emblems and put them on with douple sided moulding tape. If you change your mind again just cut them off with fishing line.

I have thought abou that. The fenders that I'll be using actually have all of the emblem holes filled. I just wasn't sure how it would look or hold with the 3m tape. seems like it would be a pain to try and cut out around all those curves in the letters.

ALL trim on modern cars is held on with tape. It holds very well. Took me a long time to get "Chevrolet" off the tailgate of my S10.

Here's some stuff I've used 3M tape on. Just get a packet of new razor blades.

Those look really great. If you didn't tell me, I wouldn't even know that it was taped on.

I think it will be perfect with color insided bowtie.

I also figured out the fenders needed to come off to put on the emblems, but I used trim tape to hold them on with the pins threw the holes to locate it So I didnt have to remove the fender.

Re: Fender Emblems or NOT - Pics Please!

My hood lettering was gone and holes filled when I got my '67 so I had to find all 18 holes and drill them out. Well worth the time and a couple bucks.

I've searched the forum to find someone who had this problem! May I ask what you did to find the holes and do it, and not ruin new paint? Is there 2 holes for each letter?
