Hood Bumpers

I just spent the last 30 minutes going through photos on the board because I didn't want to ask this question but I can't find what I need to know so I gotta ask.

The hood bumpers on each side of the hood.....how do they go?

Common sense says the flat part goes against the flat part of the fender but when I look at the LMC catalog and the Truck and Car Shop catalog they show them with the flat face pointed towards the motor?????

Anyone have the originals in place to verify how they go?

I have mine with the flat part on the fender side but the hood shuts hard.

Could be because they are still new or something....I don't have the front hood bumpers installed yet so it's just the sides.

Sigh.......stupid question I know.....but I need to check and this is the only resource I have.....don't know anyone else with a K5 blazer to look at.

Flat towards fender and the angled part towards engine.

Re: Hood Bumpers

OK, that is how I have them but all the pictures I see in the magazines are backwards from that.

Thanks.

Re: Hood Bumpers

agree on the flat on fenders and angled toward engine - if you need a pic I can grab a few when I get home (or over the weekend).

Re: Hood Bumpers

Thanks for the responses.
No photo necessary, I just wanted to verify what made sense was correct ;-)
