EMS Billet or Siscos Hood Hinges - Any pictures installed?

Does anyone have pictures of the Eddies Motorsports Billet Hood Hinges or Sisco Fabs hinges installed?

I'd like to see them actually installed on a 73-80.

I am also curious about how far the hood opens with their hinges.

Thank you.

What are you thinking about Justin? If your just looking for a show quality piece that will drop in the stock location the Eddie Motorsports are top notch. I have seen them in person and they look fantastic. Of course they should for the price. At 600.00+ depending on the finish you choose, they should be amazing.

The Sisco's Fabrication are a much simpler design. They are designed to be used with inner fenders that have been cut for 24" tires and work with Slosh Tubz. Mike (67cheby) has a set installed on Square Peg, but I couldnt find the installed pic. Those posted on Sisco's F/B page are the only ones I am aware of.

Just thinking about my winter to do list

I am probably going with the EMS hinges. I have seen them installed in person on other applications just not a square. They are a nice looking piece for sure.
I think the Sisco hinges are cool also but with my truck having factory inners I think EMS might be the best look.

I guess I need to post in my own old thread in case someone else wants to see them installed.

I am very pleased with the EMS billet hinges...

Low1Ton, I've seen some pics of a truck with gas struts holding the hood to replace the spring assists, was that your truck? Can you give me more details about the ball mount that's on the fender? Was it mod'd to fit? What's behind it? What brand gas shocks did you use? I google the "4883" that was in the pic but nothing came up. Thanks man!

C-10 dreaming we are working on putting together a kit with all pieces required for the hood strut hinge. It would come with all parts required and good instructions and measurements. Let me know if you are interested. It will only be for 81-91 square body trucks, blazers, suburbans and duallys. Oh and it will be a reasonable price.

Not to sound too negative or anything, but how about an opposite point of view?

I'm another guy who will spend big bucks on his truck but...I'm not feelin' this:

"Hey everybody! Take a look at my... drumroll... HOOD HINGES! Oh yeah! I spent a massive $600 on these hinges!" lol sorry couldn't resist. Most people like the focus to be on the engine. I'm just not sure I could look at myself in the mirror anymore if I knew I paid that much for hinges. I'd give consideration to it, at half that price.

Different strokes for different folks... it's usually the details that set trucks apart.

Another bonus from these with these hinges I dont have to worry about the factory hinges bending my hood like they are known for.
To not bend the original hood on an all original sheet metal truck is worth $600 in my eyes.

I contacted EMS and there is no immediate plan to make a version for 81-87 trucks, which is too bad.

Any of you guys know what the major differences are, besides the fender and hood contour? Would it take much work to retrofit these to a 2nd gen square?
