'68 clutch linkage issue

Guys,

I didnt realize this while I had the motor out, its now in, a new 400 SBC. Since its in I started looking into the clutch linkage and the block does not have the taps to attach the bung for the Z bar clutch linkage.

Do I have to fab something to come off the frame or possibly the bell housing now? What options do I have? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Robert

THere are some factory ones but likely hard to find.
Easy to make one.
Here's some examples.

Thanks! WOW a lot of good pics there and also found a link to a guy who had same issue! Through me to JEGS and they offer a SS bracket that mounts to bell housing, awesome!

There is a bell there but not tapped, guessing a 400 didnt come with manual behind too much. If it was out, I'd tap it but I'll try this first so I dont have to pull it again.

Thanks geezer#99!
