Driver Door Gap

How bad is your drivers door gap where it meets the gas filler area? Trying to determine if maybe that part of my cab is tweaked or maybe the gaps were just that bad back then. I have attached a picture below with my gap. Also any ideas to close up the gap? I already have the doors moved as far back as I can without having a horrible gap in the front. Reading some are adding metal to either the door or the cab. Or maybe I am just too picky.

Re: Driver Door Gap

It's not uncommon to find different gap spacing on different areas around the doors on virtually all of these trucks. If you consider how many individual pieces make up the cab, it's amazing they ever got the doors to fit in the holes!

Mine looks pretty decent in the area you're highlighting, but the front of door looks horrible, and can't be adjusted. The gap at the upper rear is just as big, so moving the door forward won't fix anything. The only correction available is welding in new metal and custom fitting everything. I'm just not enthusiastic enough for that.
