general question about redoing 61

I have pulled the engine and have a 87 front crossmember and all its components to install.frame to clean and repaint plus I am sur lots of other stuff I will find and want to do. So question is should I go ahead and rebuild the engine or wait till I think I am close to putting it in? Didn't want engine done and setting around. Am I thinking the right direction on this.

Re: general question about redoing 61

It isn't going to hurt the engine to sit for a while as long as it is kept clean and dry. That is unless we are talking years of sitting.
