Come on...no way is this for real!

Ebay k5 with 29k miles
I've spotted some things with it that would seriously cast doubt:

1) where is the pic of the engine?!?
2) the door handle(inside) is sitting up a bit...worn(after 29k?)
3) rear light bezels missing.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...67582QQrdZ1#lg

maybe i'm wrong, but VERY hard to believe

Re: Come on...no way is this for real!

I think it looks pretty good, and just because no picture of a motor, a misaligned door handle (easily fixed), and no bezels from the factory (notice lack of holes for bezel) does not make this a fake.

I would think that you would look at this in person before making any assumptions like this....

Did you make an offer on this and get turned down or something like that?

Nothing wrong with throwing my opinion on this. If you believe that this is the real deal more power to ya. I posted as a discussion point.
IF anyone out there had a 35 year old truck with 29k on it, I'm sure they would understand the importance of showing the engine. The engine, if unadulterated can "tell stories". If the engine has obviously been worked over, question would be why?.
Any other thoughts? Again AS stated in first post, I may be wrong but thought it would be fun to let the "experts" review

Did 69-72 Blazer consoles come with cup holders? I thought they were just seat belts holders.

Yup, the console is not original to that Blazer. It looks restored to me.

Re: Come on...no way is this for real!

Nice low-option Blazer.Vague description for an online sale at that price.Great price if it`s a true low mile survivor.
My only critique from photos:The paint on the exterior looks better than the paint on the kick panel.

Re: Come on...no way is this for real!

It's not factory A/C either.
(I didn't read the discription so maybe he says that)

Should be a single walled hard top for 72, has a double on it.

Cup holder console is also incorrect. (I know already mentioned)

Didn't know the factory installed/offered wheel well carpet.

IMO, it's been restored.
Looks nice and clean but I'd have to raise the flag on it being an original.

Yeah, they don`t mention that it is newer add-on air. They don`t say much.I was going to make that call on the wheel-house carpet.

Re: Come on...no way is this for real!

good call out's. I wondered about the cup holders too. A 29k blazer would not have to be restored, period. The only thing i can guess is that perhaps it was a
salvage and was crashed at 29k If a bad accident, restore would be in order with misc parts and truly it would be a 29k truck

Why is this? My 72 has what I am sure is the original top and it is double wall. My buddy's 72 has a double wall top also.

Re: Come on...no way is this for real!

Scrubby, your correct. From what I understand, the single wall top was an option only in '72. If the original purchaser didn't opt for the single wall, it would have come with a double wall.

Between my dad and I we have owned quite a few 72 Blazers. All have been double wall. I have only seen 2 single walls ever in person.

I have two 72 Blazers. The 4x4 CST non air has double wall top. The 2wd CST factory air has single wall top. You could get them either way in 72.

but could you get them with 73up center console, 67 guages, after market paint, after market carpet kit and the biggest dealer option "no bezels"

We can only educate everyone and hope it keeps people from getting taken on ebay. Its a nice blazer...maybe...who know if it comes with the "bondo" dealer option available in 72 also.
