Need Engine Bay Paint Opinions

I'm getting close on my white / medium olive 72. I need some opinions on how to paint the engine bay.

A) Green firewall, green fenders, black inner fenders, black core
B) Black everything inside
C) Green everything inside
D) Something else

Make it quick, it gets painted soon!

Re: Need Engine Bay Paint Opinions

I've always left the firewall and top of the fenders the stock color, and then used a satin "chassis black" paint on the inner fenders and frame and stuff.

I would go with a body color everywhere but the places that you can't clean. Those hard to reach areas are better off painted satin black so they don't show dirt as much.

Gary, that's the way it came from the factory, right?

Yep... pretty much. The reason I like the satin black, is that it isn't glossy, and if you get any oil or fluids on it... it doesn't stain like flat black will.

Re: Need Engine Bay Paint Opinions

I just told my paint guy to go with satin black inner fenders and everything else body color. I think that will make the engine bay pop. I also think the inner fenders are the most likely area to get fluids or scuffs.
