Rims and Tires 67 c10 truck

I would like to see and know if anyone has a 67 truck with 20 inch rims and tires. The more detailed the better for me as far as tire size backpacking and offset if it's not to much trouble.
Thanks guys pics would be great

Re: Rims and Tires 67 c10 truck

Finding a 67 with 20"s will be tough to find. Does it have to be a 67, or just a 67-72?

Yeah that would be great! I assume the wheel width and back spacing would and off set would be similar to the 20s

Re: Rims and Tires 67 c10 truck

Hope he doesn't mind me sharing but this is a members truck here. I know there 20x8.5 and 20x10s and I think 255/35r20 and 275/35r20. I think it was about 5.5/7 drop in this picture. I may be wrong about some of this info so don't quote me. It is a very good looking truck.

Re: Rims and Tires 67 c10 truck

The big thing obviously is finding a wheel you like that's 6x5.5 most people are switching over to 5x5 for more options

Cool Re: Rims and Tires 67 c10 truck

Welcome TDH1989
Yes 5.5/7 is 5.5 front drop & 7 rear drop
I am also new to the C10 world & I'm also from Houston!! I have only owned my 69 SWB fleet side since Feb of this year.
If you click on my name then on my postings you will see that I have been asking the same question for a while now & I have had some nice guy's reply but no one with the same set up you & I are looking for it's like it's an Ancient Chinese Secret Lol!!
I can tell you that I just did a 4/6 drop on my 69 (4"front 6"rear) & I am very happy with the results you can go lower but you may want to look at your truck with the 4/6 drop first I think you will like it.
Oh & by the way 67-69 have the same frame & axle set up as far as I know if I'm wrong I know someone will point it out & let us know.
But as far as someone that actually has a static drop big wheel 67-69 truck & giving up his recipe from experience looks like we are on our own buddy Lol..
But if I keep searching & figure out the proper tire size & wheel backspacing I'll let you know & if you figure it out first let me know pls

Truck looks sick. Love the cowl. And is there a difference when people refer to back spacing and off set?

Re: Rims and Tires 67 c10 truck

Offset is measured from the centerline of the barrel of the wheel to the hub mounting surface. Back spacing is measured from the inner edge of the wheel to the hub mounting surface. Hope this helps.

So the best thing for a stock 67 6 lug truck is to find a rim with 0 or negative offset
