original lites
i heard that the original head lites have little chevy emblems on them if this is true what are they worth thanks shannon

I have never seen bowtie headlight's before I am sure that if they were original everyone would be after them IMO..

The t3 is what was original. I have one original high beam on the GMC clip (four headlight set up). My old 68 cougar I had in 90 had all 4 original headlamps. They are being made in reproduction now.

just went to look, I still have all 4 T3's in the grille of my GMC. one of them is burnt out, though.

That wouldn't work, the filiments are the same as any other light.

yep! T3's for a '68. all 4 of mine are still original & functioning. :p
until I bought it from the OO 3 years ago it was never driven in the dark. just to the local diner once a day at 20mph in high gear.(my head is swelling from the joy)

Thanks for all respones the reason i ask this is i took the truck to a local show and the guy across from me told me this and he said the emblem was in the lens itself i have a set of t3s thankls agine shannon

From my experience, T-3s were used until about 1970. Then they went to "Power Beam". I bought a 1 owner, low miles 72 and it had both power beam bulbs in it.

Interesting...I never heard of the Power Beams.
Anyone remember the amber highbeams on the 4 head light set ups? Can they be found anywhere? |
