Sheet Metal Parts Fitment
My son and I are restoring a 1970 C10, other than I actually had one of these "back in the day", we are NUBs to this restoration process. He tells me that he likes the '68 style fenders and bed sides with no marker lights. Does anyone know if and/or tried to bolt up '68 fenders or rear bed panels to a '70?
For sure we are building a new bed and the jury is still out on whether or not we are replacing the fenders. I have seen filler panels, put if we are replacing I would rather get the '68 parts if they will fit. Thanks in advance, BAT |

Re: Sheet Metal Parts Fitment
67s had no market lights. I think you would have to go with a whole front clip to get to the 67 fenders. Hood won't work If i remember correctly.

Re: Sheet Metal Parts Fitment
This is the best place to get the info you need and more.
1. 67-68 front sheet metal is the same except 68 has marker lights. It will bolt up to other year cabs but I think you will need a 67-68 core support as well. The 67-68 is referred to as a "slant nose" and has different fenders and hood than 69-72. 2. The marker lights are the same situation for the bedsides but the bed sides are all the same from 67-72 besides the non maker lights on a 67. Different year bed sides will bolt up. 3. If you do not want side markers it would be tremendously easier to just put in filler pieces as finding good 67 sheetmetal is very tuff especially bedsides. I have included some pictures of a few different years that I have collected from the board so you can see them all together kinda. Oh and I believe gmc 67-68 fenders are different than Chevy.
