72 driver door

I have searched for a good driver side door and cant find one near me .My bodyshop guy told me to order a Goodmark door and use my inside parts .My concern is do the Goodmark doors fit and function like the originals ? Anyone used a Goodmark door with good results ?I asked this in the paint and body section but got no response .Any help would be appreciated

flashed....the one thing about repop doors is they may fit okay, but the darn window fuzzies and squeegees don't even touch the windows if you do go with one, look in my build thread...they had to massage the window frame to get it kinda close...still not great!!!....try to find a nice original door or one that you can put a patch panel on...just my 0.02

I would second this advice. I am running one on my 72 blazer and I wish I would have found a solid truck door and cut it down for my blazer.

Re: 72 driver door

I been complaining about that for years. I would try to find a junkyard door even if it needs repairs or check the parts board and have one shipped by greyhound to you. WES

On a side not, we are supposed to be getting better doors, but as of yet I do not have any personal experience with them to comment. WES

Re: 72 driver door

If you are having a difficult time finding a 72 door, find a good 68-71 door and have a body guy add the dimple under the vent window. May not be the best solution, but for people who can not find goos sheet metal it is an option.

Re: 72 driver door

Thanks guys ,thats what I thought but wanted opinions from those that have been there. My doors are fixable but its my daily driver and I dont have spares I can hang while they are being fixed .I will keep looking as Im not ready to let her go to the body shop anytime soon.Im just trying to gather the parts I need as I can find them .All the doors Ive looked at are worse than what I already have . Thanks again to all of you .
