Sorry for the slightly blurry pics. It's cold out there and the digital camera I used is an El Cheapo Grande' model. I would've pulled it out away from the garage, but the carb is off for a rebuild at the moment.

As you can see, Northern Maine winters haven't been terribly kind to the cab corners, rockers, and so forth. That's where 98% of the rust lives. There will be a lot to do there when it comes time.

The truck is very original. No hacked dash, original wheels and (rusty) hubcaps, and so forth. It's supposed to be crimson red, but apparently the old man (or one of his sons) decided baby blue would look better. When I paint it (hopefully this coming Spring), it goes back to factory color.

I'll take it for $1,100!

Oh, and in case you're wondering, it really does have two shades of primer and the hood isn't shut all the way.

Looks pretty solid for a Maine truck. We visit my folks in the Portland area once a year or so. I hardly see any vehicles over 15 years old on the road.

What does your seat look like under the cover?. The CST bench seat is pretty unique compared to other year's bench seats. Your truck has all the things I expect to see in a 68 CST. Chrome trim on the pedals, Chrome front bumper (If I see it right?) carpet, (If I see it right?) to mention a few things. Are you going back to stock on her? BTW those hub caps are not correct in case you haven't figured it out. Also the wheels should be silver/gray color not black.

What engine do you have or what did it come with? (327?) I'd expect to see a choke delete button rather that a choke button on your dash.

Great start for a resto project. 67-68 front clips look the best.

Yep, it has carpet (shot to hell and probably original) and a chrome front bumper (straight, but needs replated). The seat has a giant, exploded hole smack where the driver sits. Other than that, it's just brownish-colored vinyl as far as I can tell. It does have a build sheet tucked up underneath, though.

I'm rather surprised that the wheels aren't original. I just figured they were. I'd love to get more information on the CST such as what equipment they came with, production numbers, and so forth.

It's actually got a choke delete plate, but it's not the "GM" version that's been posted in pictures here on the board. It's a circular chrome job with two small, square holes that were either A) for a spanner wrench of some kind or B) was used to give something else a place to glue to.

The truck was ordered with a 327, Posi, power steering, factory air, and some other goodies. The transmission is a TH400, but I'm not sure if that's original or not. Sadly, the original 327 has gone missing. In its place is a 1968 307 that was supposedly rebuilt three years ago.

She'll get one more Maine winter and then I'm going to tear into it. The plan is to leave her bone stock where it's practical. If I do any upgrading, it'll be done in a manner that is reversible and/or adding factory options.

There's plenty of body work to be done, but the truck really is more solid than the pictures would tell. The cab struts, corners, rockers, and door bottoms are all shot, but the rest of the truck isn't too bad. I'll go back to factory color(s) when the time comes.

Damn! The more I look at those pictures, the more I realize that I've got one SERIOUSLY ugly truck! I mean, she's just out-and-out HOMELY, isn't she?

Don't worry . Alot of us on this board look at a truck like that and envision it already painted ,interior all done and decked out with new wheels. I have a few like that by my barn and I only see the finished product no matter how rough they are. I still can't seem to be able to part out any of them cause I always see them done!!!

Looks like a very nicley optioned truck.

It dosen't bother me to drive something that looks like crap...as long as it runs good

IMO anything 67-72 chevy/GMC looks great even if it is a beater...I like your truck, it looks great man!
