67 stepside backspacing advise

I have a 67 c-10 stepside lowered 4 up front and 6 in the rear. I would like to go with 18" american racing torq thrust II. I' am looking for advise or pictures of backspacing and tire size.

If I'm not mistken, you will want a 5" bs. Here's my 69 with a 17x8 with 4.5 bs, but I have the wider 71-72 rearend.

Re: 67 stepside backspacing advise

Well first we need to know which rearend you have. Then we need to know what width rim you want to run.

For example, I have 17x9.5" wheels on a wider 72 rearend. The wheels have 5.5" backspacing and ub the inner bedside, so I have to use 7/16" spacers. 5" backspace would have been perfect. If you have the narrower 67-70 rearend, you will need a 4.25" backspace.

If you only plan to run an 8 or 8.5" wide wheels then anywhere between 4-4.5" backspace is just right.

Re: 67 stepside backspacing advise

Thanks for the replies. I have the narrow rear end and would like to go with 9.5" wheel on the back.
