** Best ebay SCORE yet!!!!! **

Check this out. I was surfing ebay late one night last week and brought this item up. The seller had just added a "buy it now" price for $700. Needless to say, I jumped on it. I picked it up Saturday and am totally pleased with it. I'm sure I won't see another deal like this for a while, if ever! Here is the link (if it still works) and below are pictures after I got it home.

Camper truck?
Tilt, buckets and console are nearly worth that price.
Excellent score!

Very Nice Find

I would have done the same thing if it were within range. I might have had to sleep in it though. Selling without camper would have helped me.

Any plans for it?

Is that a 8 track or a brake control under the dash on the left side.
If you part it, PM me some prices on what your not keeping.

Awesome deal. Now if you could just find a sleeper, and a wrecker bed, that would make an awesome rig

So what are you planning on doing with it?

Could have been a flatbed or wrecker originally.

Any stick on the glove box door?

You should talk to Joesjunk. He bought one like that. Hole and all. It is the black flatbed he has had on here before. I have seen the truck and it is perfect now.

Thumbs up

That is TOO cool!!! I would like to see the glove box sticker also. I do have a truck that was cut out just like that and it has been fixed.

HAD to be a camper set up. Lookit the humongous mirrors and what ELSE could the gaping hole be for? I've seen a few of these old "Jode Family" cruisers out here in the West. Anybody know who the factory was that was hacking these cabs open? Imagine doing that to a brand new cab!!! AAArghhh. H.

it was in fact a camper...the e-bay auction says it. Not to mention the hole that is there. I don't think anyone would want a hole in the back of the cab on a flat bed truck.

Thanks guys! The truck did have a big camper on it. The guy I got it from said he sold it a few years ago. The auction stated that the truck had 24K original miles on it. That did not persuade me into buying it (the tilt and buckets did!!). The outside does not look like a 24K mile truck at all, but the inside makes me wonder. The seats are flawless, the steering wheel looks brand new, the headliner trim and all other chromed plastic stuff looks amazing. It even has all 6 original BFG Silvertown tires with deep tread. I tuned it up this week and got it running. It cranked right up and idled perfect. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet - restore?? part out?? Here's a new one on me : this truck has a small transmission hump. I thought all 1 ton trucks had the large hump, especially with a TH400.

Afew72's - that is some kind of aftermarket 8 track player underdash.
Joe's Junk - How much trouble was it to repair your cab? Did you cut the back out of a doner truck?
