Use a steering wheel puller.

It makes it harder for track your way back to your truck... but it won't hurt so much.



You might have guessed already - gave the steering wheel a real hard tug, then a bump, then a REAL hard tug. Then the bridge of my nose started leaking. Hey, at least it wasn't my teeth.
