Air filter issue

1972 C10 w/ 350

I just installed a new crate 350, came with the Edelbrock intake, and 600cfm carbuerator and air filter.

My other engine used a spacer above the Quadrajet of about 4", my new one does not have this.

My problem is the air filter is now lower and is pushing tight against the distributor, which I do not like. I know an air filter spacer would solve that problem, but would it be beneficial to try to get one and if so, where?

I no longer have the old one.
