Re: stepside tail light ideas

If the po hadn't cut my fenders to install '70ish International tail lights, I'd be using something along these lines with LEDs. Might be to "vintage" judging by your avatar.

Re: stepside tail light ideas

I got a pair of stainless 67-72 step tail lights and put in LED Lens (52 per) on a set of stainless brackets. Very bright and eye catching. Check Brothers/LMC and Classic parts. My alternate idea was a set from an early 40 or 50 Chevy P/U with LEDS.

Re: stepside tail light ideas

I used 60-66 style lights on stock brackets moved to the lower position.

I don't have pictures but others have used 55-59 style lights and brackets moved to the lowest postion which sits just above the rear bumper. You stated you have a roll pan, so that wouldn't matter.

Re: stepside tail light ideas

I can't find the picture now but yesterday I ran across someone in the 60-66 area that has taken that era fleetside tail lights and housing and put them into the back of the stepside fenders. Looked great, used GM stuff and looked like how GM should have done it. If I can find the pic, I'll add it. It was on a blue step side should you go looking for it.
